Entertainment Review - NOVEMBER

BRITNEY SPEARS IS A GOOD MOTHER! That is according to her. In a recent interview, Britney says she felt the world is cruel (relating to the media coverage surrounding her divorce and fight for custody of her two sons.). She also commented, “At the end of the day, you just have to know in your heart that you're doing the best you can.”

Yet after confirmations that the ex-pop star has lost her battle for full custody, Britney’s arguments seem unconvincing. Spears did win supervised visitation rights twice a week in the court battle, but it must hardly seem much as a mother. From divorce to rehab and now separation from her children, Britney has had a tough year but there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Perhaps the upcoming holidays will inspire Britney to get her act together and make the better of herself both for her and her family.

'Backstreets' back!
The American boyband of the nineties have regrouped to release their single Inconsolable from their new album Unbreakable. Despite being one-man-down, the boys still have the same funky pop sound and look the same as they did ten years ago, except with a bit more meat on their bones! Though we’re not so sure they will appeal to the same age group as they’re used to. Times have changed but it seems their music hasn’t much, and they’re going to really have to go all out if they want to stay to get a leg up on the chart toppers and new Disney film craze, High School Musical.

The X Factor...
... has got off to a whirlwind of a start for the final twelve acts. In the first week we saw the bottom two in the same category and a major Diva tantrum from Sharon who claimed the show would be her last. It’s a shame what lengths TV shows will go to to get viewers to switch over from the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Of course Sharon was back the next week and almost went home again with her tail between her legs after Alisha was in the bottom two again but was saved by the judges. After seeing last X-Factors winner, Leona Lewis, perform on the first week it seems that this years hopefuls are a bit below par in star quality. We guess that by this time next year, the new X-Factor winner will have disappeared into the background only to be found at Butlins Holiday Camp!
